Does breast milk meet all my baby’s nutritional needs?

No. Breast milk provides most nutrients and additional protective factors, but it is low in vitamin D and iron. Be sure to give your breastfed baby liquid vitamins containing 400 IU vitamin D, 1,500 IU of vitamin A, and 10 mg of elemental iron daily.
